Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-3

Psp5.0

The Installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher [fat PSP], or 3.60 m33 or higher [Slim PSP]. If your PSP  is the Offical Sony Firmwares or lower version of M33 you shouldn't try it or you will end up with a brick PSP.
You will need a USB cable and ensure the Battery is 78% loaded, Follow the steps below:

1. Extract the file you have downloaded anywhere on your computer.
2. Connect your PSP to your computer using the USB cable.
3. Copy the "UPDATE" folder into /PSP/GAME
4. Exit USB Mode and go to your XMB(Game > Memory Stick)
5. Run the "PSP Update version 5.00"

The screen turns black. Follow the on screen instructions, these instructions will take you to the Official Sony Update screen. Press X for start, and follow the on screen instructions. It will start the update once you agree to the agreement and a download bar will appear. Wait for it to be completed(100%)and  press the "X" button to restart automatically.
Then you can erase "UPDATE" folder, they won’t be any longer necessary.

Custom Firmware 4.01 M33-2

The installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher [fat PSP], or 3.60 m33 or higher [Slim PSP]. If you PSP(fat or slim) is on Offical sony firmwares, you shouldn't try it. Please ensure that your battery is at least 78% loaded ad Kernel access on 3.XX
Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME.  Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the PSP, press X or O(Remember to do it). Do not skip this step shutting down the PSP by yourself, or you'll end with a brick.  Then you can erase "UPDATE" folder, they won’t be any longer necessary.

Patapon M33 Driver problem

There are some games that will not work with your M33 driver. For example, Patapon will hang during loading the game. This can be resolved by choosing the Sony NP9660 Driver. But the M33 driver will work on most ISO games.

Follow the follow steps to change to the Sony NP9960 Driver>>>

  • Press the Top Right button when you on the PSP
  • Choose Configuration at the M33 Menu
  • Go to UMD mode and select Sony Np9960
  • Press the Back and Exit the M33 Menu

Firmware 3.90 M33

The firmware for 3.90 M33 has been released for the PSP. You can install it if your PSP is using 3.52 M33-3 or higher version. You must have 2 item that is the 390m33 and the offical PSP system firmware 3.90. Please click here for the step by step guide>>>
