The Widget Bar is a panel on the left side of the screen that allow users to store Widgets and keeps them organized and always accessible. The Widget Bar provides quick access of up to 24 Widgets you use most frequently (Digital Clock, Bluetooth, Calendar, AccuWeather, Facebook, Pictures, MySpace, Shortcut, Widget Settings, YouTube and others.). You have 3 pages on your Home Screen to drag and drop the Widgets you need for your Omnia 2.
Shortcut Widget
The most popular widget is the Shortcut. It provides quick access of up to 12 of your favorite applications which you are able to add to this Widget. Simply open the widget bar, located on the left of the home screen, touch the My Shortcuts widget then press and hold the desired Shortcut icon and drag it to your display screen.
To add items to the My Shortcuts widget follow the steps below:
- From the home screen, open the Widget Bar
- Touch and Hold the My Shortcuts Widget icon then drag it to the main display screen
- Drop the My Shortcut Widget by releasing the stylus or finger
- The My Shortcut Widget is now located on the display screen
- Touch the Plus sign (+) then scroll through the Shortcut Widgets and touch the desired application
- Continue step 5 until all of the desired Applications have been added
- Press OK to close MyShortcut Widget
To remove items from the My Shortcuts Widget follow the steps below:
- From the home screen, open the Widget Bar
- Touch and Hold the My Shortcuts Widget Bar icon then drag it to the main display screen
- Drop the My Shortcuts Widget by releasing the stylus or finger
- Touch the My Shortcuts Widget little circle, located in its top right corner
- Touch the minus sign (-) on the desired application to remove
- Touch OK to close the My Shortcut Widget
You can choose to display or hide your Widgets display in the Widget Bar.
To select which items are displayed or hidden within the Widget Bar follow the steps below:
- From the home screen, open the Widget Bar
- Press on Widget Manager(First Icon on the Widget Bar Top)
- Touch the Widget to Check Mark it to display Widget
- Or Touch the Widget to Uncheck Mark and it will not be display on Widget Bar
- Press Done to close Widget Manager.
Rearranging Widgets Order
You can also customize the Widget Bar by arranging the location of your
current widgets. This can help you place your frequently used widgets at the top of the list.
To rearrange widgets follow the steps below:
- Touch and hold the widget
- While still holding the icon, in a single motion, drag it away from the widget Bar then drag it back into its new location in the list
Widgets also allow you to move (drag and drop) an application onto the Main display screen. For example, you can drag the My Shortcuts widget from the Widget Bar onto the display screen using the drag and drop feature.
To drag and drop a Widget Bar application or item onto the display screen follow the steps below:
- From the home screen, open the Widget Bar
- Touch and Hold the Widget Bar icon you wish to move and drag it to the main display screen (for example, the My Shortcuts Widget)
- Drop the icon by releasing the stylus or finger. The My Shortcuts application is now located on the display screen.
