Many Samsung Omnia 2 users does not know where is the soft reset hole on Omnia 2. If your manual is one of the earliest batch, Samsung have show you the wrong way to poke the hole and you may even end up damaging the antenna.

Soft Reset Omnia 2,i8000
Open the Battery Cover of Omnia 2. The reset button is the golden hole between the SIM Card and the Micro SD Card. Use a toothpick or any small tip to press the button and the Omnia 2 will soft reset.
The LCD Test is a program that is inside the Windows Folder but you will not find it on your Programs Page. So many users do not know its existence unless you navigate to the Windows Folder. We can going to show you how GOOD LCD Test is on your Omnia 2.
Omnia 2(i8000) users can press the *#0*# and access the LCD Test Application. If it does not work on your Omnia 2, try to navigate to the LCD Test Application Folder.
LCD Test Application Go to the Windows Folder and select the LCD Test Exe File. Pls ensure you go the Menu and set to show all files. Most file explorer do not show all files by default.
Press the RED, GREEN and BLUE buttons allowed you the check the screen for any dead pixels. Press the CIFcam to test the front camera. Press the Megacam to test the camera and the LED light Press the Compass to get which direction you are at Plus many other functions to test your Omnia
You can add pictures to your contacts and change it anytime when you like it. In addition, you can use Facebook picture as your contact picture also. Download the Facebook Pictures you want to use on your contacts onto your computer.Put the Facebook pictures or other pictures you have obtained onto your Omnia 2 main memory or storage memory.

Download the picture u want to use to Omnia II
Go to Phonebook
Press on the Contact u want to change picture
Click on Edit
Press the Picture Icon(First Row)
Select the picture in Photo Picker
Click Done

Now, you have successfully add pictures to your contacts. You can remove the pictures from your Omnia II after you have done Active Syn with Outlook or backup program like SPB Backup or PIM Backup Program.
SPB 3.5 Mobile Shell This mobile shell allow you to synchronize your contact pictures directly with your Facebook Friends. You need to enter the email address of your Facebook Friends in the Contacts. It will then pull the pictures from Facebook and allowed you to choose the available pictures that you can use for your contact.
You will be able to hard reset Omnia 2 to factory default just like Omnia. However the 3rd party programs that come with the official firmware will be left intact. The 3rd party programs installed by your service provider maybe lost after the hard reset. If you have already activated Agis NavPhone GPS program before hard reset, you may need to contact Agis Helpdesk for re-activation instruction.
Hard Reset of Omnia 2
First switch off your phone
Next hold Volumn Up + Screen Lock
Then hold Green and Power Button together
Then press Answer Call (left) button to confirm hard reset
You must hold the Volume Up + Screen Lock + Green + Power together and hold onto it. Release all once you see the Hard Format Screen.
