Windows Marketplace has finally been launch for Window Mobile Users on the Window Mobile 6.5 platform. Finally Window Mobile Users can get a store similar to iPhone or iPod Touch App Store. The Marketplace will also be available to Window Mobile users 6.1 at a later time.
A wide range of applications, games,ebooks and other applications are already available for download on the Marketplace. There are free and paid applications in Marketplace which is similar to Apple App Store. But Microsoft is not controlling the pricing and some apps and games are more expensive than Apple Apps Store. Users are not lure to buy as most of the items look this over price as compared with Apple Apps Store. It is worth it to give the free apps a try as it is totally free. You need to have a Windows Live ID to access the Marketplace. It is available worldwide to all international customers.
Accessing MarketPlace on WM6.5
Press Start and select Marketplace. The application will download the latest Marketplace software if your accessing it the first time. In addition, you also need to have a Windows Live ID in order to sign in and download the free games and applications. Marketplace will only be available to WM 6.0 and 6.1 users at the end of 2009.
Samsung Omnia 2 users will now be able to access the Marketplace for free and paid games or applications.
