I have a data plan for my Samsung Omnia 2 and therefore I ma not concern about the GPRS Connection. It cost me S$7 for a 50GB BBOM Plan from Singtel Corporate Line. If you are a Singtel Corporate User, please check with your CIS Account Manager.
Go to Settings->Advanced Settings->Connection->GPRS Authentication.
Click on Edit and change the Authentication type from PAP to None.
