I have come out with a simple guide based on DZHK3 to show you the step by step guide on downloading the latest Firmware to your Omnia. Currently this guide is use for Firmware Update File using the Windows XP System.
Please ensure that you have install Active Syn and Samsung Modem Driver before proceeding with updating the firmware of your Omnia.
Software requirements:
* ActiveSync 4.5
File name: setup.msi
Download: Microsoft Active Sync 4.5
* Samsung Modem Driver
Download: Samsung Modem Driver>>>
Ensure that you Samsung Omnia is at least 90% CHARGE.
Step By Step Guide to Download Firmware to Omnia
1. Connect your Omnia to your Computer via USB Cable
2. Active Syn will be connected to your Omnia
3. Allow the Active Syn to complete the backup first.
4. Run the Firmware Updater File that you have download
5. Check both the box on the Firmware Updater
6. The Firmware Version is Verify and press OK to reset device.
7. After Device Reset, it will start to download the Firmware Files(5 files).
8. It will take 2 minutes to write the 5th file.
9. Download Complete
10. Remove the Device and perform all the necessary settings for your Omnia and it will be really for use.
