Samsung Omnia Users can upgrade like firmware online similar to Nokia N Series users. It is easy to upgrade, you just need to download the firmware file and it will guide you through the upgrade process.
Please ensure that your Omnia is 75% charge before the upgrade.

Samsung Omnia Firmware Installation
Connect your Omnia to your laptop via USB port. Let it perform the active synchronize and backup all your contacts and PIM information. After that execute the Firmware Software you have downloaded and follow the on screen instructions.

Firmware Version Required to Download Firmware
You are required to key in the Firmware Version in order to download the Firmware. The only countries that do not need to enter the Firmware version are Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.
Please take note of your Omnia version in RED COLOUR below and key in that for downloading of Omnia Firmware.
Press Start - Settings - Version to get your Omnia Version.
