You can tweak the SPB Mobile Shell so that when you press the SMS and it will link it to the VITO SMS-Chat Application. Vito SMS-Chat is a popular sms software use by Window Mobile Users.
Go to HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\Messaging
Change the String in Text to the following depending on where you install the SMSChat into.
Device in the string write "\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"
My Storage in the string write "\My Storage\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"
Storage Card in the string write "\Storage Card\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"
Please soft reset the Device after you have change the registry.
Get the SPB Themes Release 4.1 (Freeware) for SPB Mobile Shell 3.0. This works perfectly on the Omnia.
With this tool you can customize "on the fly" (without soft reset) the look of your mobile phone launcher application, choosing from different basic skins and a from several background alternative images.
Extra options are available to refine the final aspect: menu launcher buttons, analog and digital clocks, weather icons and more.
The plug-ins are continuosly updated, so stay tuned to get the last release.

SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 Build 6411 has finally been launched after much anticipation and the wait is finally over. It runs perfectly on the Samsung Omnia.

SPB Mobile Shell Version 3.0 Build 6362 has been leaked and spread across the internet. I was fortunate enough to got it and is now trying on my Omnia. The trial program has already been remove from SPB Software House offical website. There maybe some bugs here and there as it is not officially launch yet.
I really love this SPB Mobile Shell Version 3 and I am definetly not going to use the Version 2 again. You must have a black theme install to have the best effect. The Cube Feature looks just like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Panels.
You do not see any Games when you press the Games in SPB Mobile Shell. In actual fact, you must manually add the games links to it. Many users has press the Games Icon but do not find anything inside it. Let me show you how to add the games links so that the Games will appear when you press the Games icon in the SPB Mobile Shell.
Add Game Links in SPB Mobile Shell
Go to SPB Menu - Settings - Customize Menu(Fig 1)
Click on Games
Select Menu - Add - Link...(Fig 2)
Click the '+' to open the Games Folder
Select the game you want to add(Fig 3)
Press Done to exit
Press Done to exit Customize Menu

The games you added will now appear under the Games(Fig 4). You have to manually add each game in order for them to appear in the Games. After adding all the games links, go back to the SPB Menu(Fig 5). Press the Games Icon and you will see all the games that you have added inside it(Fig 6).
There are many Themes available for SPB Mobile Shell so that you can change the outlook of your Omnia. Get it to look like HTC, iPhone, Omnia or many others created by the Theme Designers.
In this customization, I get the look of HTC and made my icons to look like Omnia. You can do lots of customization on the Themes. You must have installed the SPB Mobile Shell on Omnia before installing the Themes.
You can start to customize your Omnia as you will guided through a series of pages to setup your Omnia Themes. You can change the Theme by going to Tools and select Spb Skins 3.0. Choose the Theme you want and it will load the customizer up for you.
I am trying the next generation user interface by SPB Mobile Shell. It allow me to used a advance interface while keeping the advantages of the Window Mobile.
