Assign Picture to Contact

You can assign picture to your individual Contact.

Follow the following steps to assign ring tone to contact.

• Click Start - Programs
• Click on Contacts
• Click on the contacts you want to add the picture
• Click on Menu and Edit
• Click on Picture to Select a Picture 
• Select the picture you want to add to the contact 
• Click on OK after selecting the picture 
• Click OK to save the Contact

SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 Preview

SPB Mobile Shell Version 3.0 Build 6362 has been leaked and spread across the internet. I was fortunate enough to got it and is now trying on my Omnia. The trial program has already been remove from SPB Software House offical website. There maybe some bugs here and there as it is not officially launch yet.

I really love this SPB Mobile Shell Version 3 and I am definetly not going to use the Version 2 again. You must have a black theme install to have the best effect. The Cube Feature looks just like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Panels.

Change Omnia Mouse Pointer

Omnia is using the default Arrow Mouse Cursor. Samsung i780 has the option to change the Mouse Cursor but it is not available in Omnia. The only way to change the Mouse Cursor Design is by modifying the registry entry. You need a Registry Editor to change the registry entry

Go to hklm/system/state/samsung/mouse
Click on CursorShape and change the DWORD Data to a value between 0 and 24. This will change the mouse cursor design. Click on Done or Save depending on Registry Editor u using.

T*Omnia launched in South Korea

Samsung has launched the improved version of the Omnia and rename it to T*Omnia in late Quarter of 2008. This was launched in an exclusive deal with one of South Korea largest Telecom, SK Telecom. T*OMNIA has a 3.3″ WVGA touch screen (480×800) and added Satellite DMB function, an essential feature for Korean users who would like to enjoy Mobile TV. The smartphone will be sold in 2 different version, SCH-M490 with 4GB internal memory and SCH-M495 with 16GB internal memory.

This is currently available in South Korea only. But with the current global market, this phone has flow into other countries through online shop, parallel import or bought by tourist in South Korea. Currently, we do not have this phone and therefore is unable to support T*Omnia users.

Skype 2.5 for Windows Mobile

I am using the Skype to call all of my Skype Friends for free. Inaddition, you can use the free instant messenger service. This is good for contacting your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband and wife while they are aboard. It will not let you run into huge international calling bills with your mobile phone. I use it to contact my wife while she is aboard so I do not have to pay too much for the international calling rates.
