Heart of the Tiger Party

Another new location has been open in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year and Valentines Day. Traveling cost is only 863 Gold, go to the Town of Gawnia and then travel to the Heart of the Tiger Party. The Heart of the Tiger Party is a special location available exclusively during the 2010 Valentine's Day and Chinese New Years event. There are no special requirements for hunters to enter this area. Mice are unable to steal gold, cheese, or points in the Heart of the Tiger.

The Gift Shoppe has reopened with a few fun party collectible items that are sure to spice up the Heart of the Tiger Party. The Gift Shoppe is expecting to keep the party going with a few more items that shall arrive in a few days for the party. Check back from time to time during the party to spot when the new party items are available. You cannot purchase the gift yourself but you can ask a friend to send it to you.

 

Rockstar Mouse with Ronza's Blue Satchel of Surprise

The Rockstar Mouse (which replaced the long-retired iTunes Mouse) is a rare breed of mouse found in the Town of Gnawnia, Mountain, Great Gnarled Tree, Town of Digby, Training Grounds and S.S. Huntington II.You need to use the Rockforth Cheese to attract it to your trap. No other cheese will attract the Rockstar Mouse.

I have used PartyBot with Polar Base and using Rockforth Cheese as my bait to catch the Captain Mouse.

Shipwrecked Mouse with Sextant

The Shipwrecked Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Cape Clawed and S.S. Huntington II. They are known to drop the Sextant in S.S. Huntington II.

I have used Net Cannon with Polar Base and using Brie Cheese as my bait to catch the Captain Mouse.

Captain Mouse with Telescope

The Captain Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Rodentia region. They are known to drop Telescopes in S.S. Huntington II.

I have used Net Cannon with Polar Base and using Brie Cheese as my bait to catch the Captain Mouse.

Bottled Mouse with Compass

The Bottled Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the S.S. Huntington II. Bottled Mouse will drop the loot of Compass. It is not a 100% drop rate for this loot but you will get it with a trap that has luck.
The Compass is a piece of loot used in crafting the Ocean Navigation Kit.

Jungle of Dread Open in Tribal Isles

While diligent hunters have been setting their traps in the various villages of the Tribal Isles, some have noticed movements through the thick foliage of the Jungle of Dread. Occasionally, menacing snarls and the intimidating sound of heavy footsteps can be heard. What heroic MouseHunters will have the courage to venture into this dangerous jungle? The Jungle of Dread is the first area with a Hero title requirement and gives home to some of the most powerful, hard-to-catch mice released to date. The mice dwelling within the Jungle of Dread all share a love of Havarti cheese, each preferring theirs with a slightly different flavour. The Elub, Nerg and Derr long ago discovered these preferences, learning to grow peppers that can be used to spice Havarti. So, fine-tune your farming skills, hunters, and let the harvest begin!
 
The General Store and Trapsmith in Cape Clawed have some new stock to aid hunters with their exploration of the Jungle of Dread.
 
For all you avid Tournament players, an update that will reveal a use for Tournament Tokens and Champion's Chests is still in the works. We have been working on both the Jungle of Dread and Tournament updates in teams simultaneously. The Tournament update still needs a little more art and development to be where we want it to be before release. Some teams have been doing an excellent job of hoarding tokens, many with over 150 tokens and one team with an amazing 332! Chests seem a little harder to come by with most active teams having somewhere between three and five chests, the lead goes to one competitive hunter who has managed to obtain 33 Champion's Chests!
 
We have also added a surprisingly often requested feature to the crafting section of the inventory. Beside any item that cannot be sold back to a shop is a "discard item" button that will permanently remove the item from a hunter's inventory. Although being able to clean out a cluttered inventory will sooth craicompulsively organized hunters, we realize this is something not many hunters will wish to do, so please take care when choosing to discard an item as it cannot be undone!

Master of the Dojo Mouse with Onyx Stone

I have caught the Master of the Dojo Mouse with the Onyx Stone. The Oynx Stone is esstential to me as I need it to craft the Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery. You must be patience with your catches as even with the best trap like Ambush, you are still going to fail to catch the mouse on some occassion. The catch rate is less than 40% with the Ambush Trap. You need Rumble Cheese as your bait or you will never catch the Master of Dojo Mouse.

I have used Ambush Trap with Birthday Base and using Rumble Cheese as my bait to catch the Master of the Dojo Mouse.

Keeper Mouse with Keeper's Candle

I have caught the Keeper Mouse in the Catacombs with the loot of Keeper's Candle. The Keeper's Candle will allowed me to visit the Acolyte Realm and Forbidden Grove.

I have used Obelisk of Slumber with Dehydration Base and using Radioactive Blue Cheese as my bait to catch the Keeper Mouse.

S.S. Huntington II‎

Mousehunt has open up another new location which is the S.S. Huntington II‎ and the only way to visit this location is to build a ship. You also must have the rank of Legendary to visit this location and going cost u more than 400,000 Gold to build the ship.

The items needed to build your ship consist of

• 900 Splintered Wood
• 100 Rope
• 70 Bolt of Cloth
• 1 King’s Reserve Bubbleh
• 18 Scrap Metal
• 1 Ship Blueprints

It is not really an easy task to construct a ship as you can see. There are lots of things to be done and the cost depending on how you build the ship. It cost you 415,000 to 615,000 Gold and even more if you need to buy the Ship Blueprints.

1. Catch a Hydra Mouse with Ship Blueprints

The Hydra Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Lagoon and S.S. Huntington II. It is known to drop Scrap Metal and the Ship Blueprints in the Lagoon. Hydra Mouse is attracted to the Gnarled Cheese.
Gnarled Cheese is a special type of cheese that cannot be purchased but instead must be created by using a Gnarled Cheese Curd Potion on SUPER|brie+ or Brie. Use a trap with higher luck like PartyBot and you have a higher chance of attracting the Hydra Mouse to your trap.

Gnarled Cheese Curd Potions are dropped by Bear, Centaur, Frog and Chameleon mice in the Great Gnarled Tree. Using a Gnarled Cheese Curd Potion converts either Brie or SUPER Brie Cheese into Gnarled cheese.

Catching a Hydra Mouse is not a easy task already and getting the Ship Blueprints loot out of it maybe an even difficult task. You need a trap with good luck like PartyBot to catch it with the Ship Blueprints but there are alternatives to get the Ship Blueprints if you have lots of gold to spare. If you have 750,000 Gold to spare, then you can also purchase the Ship Bluerints at the Catacombs General Store. 

2. Get 18 Scrap Metals

Scrap Metal is another item that is needed and cannot be bought. Scrap Metal is dropped by Scavenger Mouse in the Catacombs and Forbidden Grove, Hydra Mouse in the Lagoon, and was available among the Birthday Gifts. It is used in crafting Obelisk of Incineration, Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery, and Ship.

The most easy way to get the scrap metals is to catch the Scavenger Mouse in Catacombs and  it should be easy with the Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery.

3. Buying other items
The last step is easy as the items can be bought. You need to buy the Bolt of Cloth, King's Reserve Bubbleh and Rope at Lagoon General Store. In addition, buy the Splintered Wood at Training Grounds General store.

Zugwang's Last Move Trap

Zugzwang's Last Move is the only Tactical type weapon readily available from a Trapsmith. It is also the weapon of choice for hunters who wish to hunt in the Furoma region until they're able to craft the much more powerful Ambush. It can be bought at the Training Grounds in the Furoma Region for 415,000 Gold.

I have to get this weapon as it is more effective against the Tactical Mouse in the Furoma Region. Sometimes I may need to change between this Tactical Trap to a Physical trap to catch the Physical Mouse in this Region also. By interchanging between the Physical and Tactical Traps, I will be able to catch all the mouse in this region. If I only use a Physical Trap, I will end up with more pink boxes as you will not be able to catch the Tactical Mouse and end up loosing your cheese bait.

I will now move to the Training Grounds as I want to catch a Assassin Mouse who has the loot of Ambush Trap Blueprints.
